Intuitive psychological design is hidden throughout everyday life, this time in my dryer – by stating “clean before each load” as opposed to “after”, customers are more likely to clean the filter even though it doesn’t matter whether it is cleaned before or after each load. When customers clean the filters regularly, the dryer is able to operate more efficiently and last longer. By leveraging intentional design in every aspect of a product, companies can realize greater customer satisfaction and cultivate smarter brands.
